Aerial Photographs Of Sydney In Winter

Photographer Joel Coleman's aerial photographs of Sydney in winter will make you appreciate the cold weather.

Coleman said this winter had been unusually calm in for ocean swells.

"While the surfer in me has been a little frustrated, the photographer in me has been ecstatic," Coleman said.

"The lack of rain and small seas have combined with the cooler currents, that flow up the east coast in winter to produce some of the cleanest water I have ever seen on this coastline."

He took advantage of the conditions with a helicopter trip and he shares his thoughts with us in the slideshow below.
