October 21, 2015: the day Marty McFly and Doc Brown flew forward to in their time-travelling DeLorean, dodging flying cars and hoverboards in Back To The Future II.

The 1989 film looked forward to 2015 as a technological utopia, but we're still waiting for power lace shoes. With the October 21 date fast approaching, fans of the iconic science fiction series have been checking off today's world with the imagined future of the films -- and it's not exactly a great strike rate.

Flying cars: nope.

Power laces: nope.

Fancy automatic service stations: nope.
