Public Service Announcement: YouTube Red is NOT RedTube

YouTube is playing a risky name game with its new, subscription-based, ad-free service.

YouTube Red was announced Thursday with much fanfare, but also a fair amount of confusion, as one of the three most popular porn sites in the world is named RedTube.

So just to clear things up, YouTube Red is not RedTube.

YouTube adds a subscription service and the best name they can come up with is YouTube Red. It's a pube hair away from redtube...

The service will cost $9.99 a month and allow subscribers to watch any YouTube content without ads.

YouTube's director of product development Manuel Bronstein also unveiled a new YouTube music app available to all YouTube users, but only YouTube Red subscribers could listen ad-free.
