A Film That Will Make You Want To Call Your Mum Or Grandma

Teaching your parents or grandparents how to use technology can be an exasperating experience.

But it's also a reminder that the rapid evolution of technology has left an older generation behind, and sometimes quite lonely.

In this film, Dotty, an elderly woman struggles to compose a text message to her daughter until a younger woman at the nursing home reluctantly agrees to help her. Reluctantly, only because she can predict the impending time and effort it will take.

Described as a dramedy, this film has great comedic timing, occurring precisely the moment the lesson gets so tough you almost want to switch away.

Persist with this film if you can, because it culminates in a touching, if not sad ending, reminding the younger generation of the importance of patience in what would certainly be a relatable experience for most.
