Jarryd Hayne might not be making moves on the NFL field for some time to come, but off the field, the Hayne Plane is still gearing up for takeoff.

After a stellar start to his NFL career, the former Parramatta Eels star has since suffered the dual ignominy of being first waived by the San Francisco 49ers then re-signed but relegated to their practice squad.

He has not been picked to run out on the field since mid-October, instead helping out on the training paddock.

Despite the lagging on-field fortunes, however, Hayne's latest news might inject some much-needed spark into his campaign to establish himself as an American football superstar -- the launch of his own clothing line.

On Tuesday evening, Hayne posted a photo announcing the imminent release of the clothing line -- and yes, he's using the plane/take-off gag.

From a few sneak peeks of the apparel range, it seems to lean heavily on red, black and gold -- the colours of the 49ers -- with Hayne's jersey number 38 also featured prominently.

The icon on the hats and shirts is a "JH" wrapped inside what looks like a bird emblem. Hayne has been spotted sporting the emblem as early as August, when he wore a red shirt bearing the logo to a 49ers press conference. At the time, the Sydney Morning Herald reported the logo as being a "Fijian falcon."
