Ah, the 1970s. It's the decade we can thank for flares, mood rings, pet rocks, safari jackets and waterbeds. What a time!

Though arguably the best trends were those of the culinary variety. At least Twitter account @70s_party thinks so. The stream explores terrifyingly flavourome delights from the decade, with some combinations so whacky they need to be seen to be believed.

Hot Dog Centipede might actually have a place in the current American diner trend.

We can only guess, but this looks like some sort of spaghetti in a can jello cake.
