The Australian Museum has released photographs of a number of rare Australian artifacts in line with the announcement of an historic partnership between the NSW Government and Westpac to restore the nation's first museum gallery.

The museum will showcase 200 Australian treasures, including Australia's oldest bank note and the only surviving large gold nugget from New South Wales' early mining days.
