"He was booked for possession of child pornography," LAPD officer Ricardo Hernandez told The Huffington Post.

"Glee" actor Mark Salling was arrested for possessing child pornography on Tuesday morning, LAPD Officer Ricardo Hernandez confirmed to The Huffington Post.

"There was a search warrant served early this morning," Hernandez said. "He was booked for possession of child pornography."

Crime Watch Daily broke the story after reporting that Los Angeles Police Department Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Unit served a search warrant at Salling's Sunland, California address. According to TMZ, Salling apparently had hundreds of images on his home computer.

The 33-year-old actor is best known for his role as Puck on the long-running Fox TV series "Glee." Earlier this year, Salling settled a $2.7 million lawsuit for a sexual battery incident involving an ex-girlfriend.

The Huffington Post has reached out to Salling's rep for comment.

This is a developing story.
