Are Miley and Liam back on? This is the question on everybody's lips after the singer posted a photo to her Instagram account sporting a certain familiar sparkler on her left hand.

The Australian 'Hunger Games' star first popped the question to Cyrus in 2012, but the pair split about a year later.

However rumours have been circling that the two have recently rekindled their romance, with Cyrus spotted with Hemsworth in Australia over the Christmas period and the two reportedly caught kissing at a Golden Globes party.

Cyrus also assisted Hemsworth in adopting his dog, Dora, late last year.

The photo posted to Cyrus' Instagram account.

Cyrus was also snapped wearing the ring as she arrived at JFK airport on Monday afternoon.

Recently, Hemsworth opened up on the couple's previous relationship in an interview with 'Men’s Fitness'.

“You fall in love with who you fall in love with; you can never choose. I guess some people just come with a little more baggage,” the 25-year-old said.

"I mean, look -- we were together five years, so I don’t think those feelings will ever change. And that’s good because that proves to me that it was real. It wasn’t just a fling.

"It really was an important part of my life and always will be. She’s a free spirit. I think she’ll always surprise people with what she does, but she’s not a malicious person in any way. She’s a young girl who wants to do what she wants to do."
