Nick Kyrgios will not be punished for answering his phone on court before a mixed doubles match at the Australian Open.

He took the call from friends ahead of the match with girlfriend Ajla Tomljanovic, prompting an official investigation.

The Australian Open said Kyrgios will not be sanctioned because he answered the phone before a pre-match meeting.
