So January is almost over and -- along with the post-Christmas kilos -- your house is full, with presents you didn't really need and a wardrobe you need to de-clutter. But regifting is just rude and there's no charity bin nearby.

Well Uber and the Australian Red Cross have come to the rescue -- in arguably the most brilliant collaboration for a good cause -- and will pick up the gifts you no longer want along with clothes you don't wear any more, dropping them at local Red Cross shops around the country.

All you need to do is book an Uber on Sunday between 11am and 4pm. It won't cost you a cent and your trash will become someone else's treasure.

"Every year Red Cross helps hundreds of thousands of people around Australia and in our region. From supporting disaster-wrought communities, elderly Australians living alone, teenagers facing homelessness, or refugees seeking safety from persecution, Red Cross is there," Uber and the Red Cross said in a joint statement on Friday.

"This important work could not happen without sales from Red Cross Shops around the country, and the generosity of thousands of Australians who donate their quality pre-loved clothing and accessories."

We're proud to partner with Australian Red Cross to make donating to your local Red Cross Shop quick and convenient this Sunday.#UberRedCrossShops

To book a driver on Sunday, all Aussies need to do is open the Uber app between 11am and 4pm and -- where they would choose UberX or UberBlack -- choose the 'Clothing Drive' option. A car will arrive, pick up the donation, and drop it off at a local Red Cross shop. All donations just need to be secured in bags.
