Larry David, the curmudgeonly creator of Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm, has finally met his match.

David, an old white guy from New York, hosted Saturday Night Live at the weekend and was joined by a special guest: Bernie Sanders -- another old white guy from New York.

They're both rough around the edges, they both speak in that Yorker twang, they both have similar levels of hair on the side of their heads, they both wear similar wire-rimmed glasses.

David, of course, picked Sanders as a perfect candidate for a send-up on the comedy sketch show with the perfectly on-point Bern Your Enthusiasm.

But when the pair of them on stage, it was really like seeing double. They even have the same voice.

How about that applause! That was some reception for Sanders, who's been extremely successful in pitching himself as a viable alternative to presumptive Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton.

Sanders hates the super rich. David just hates people. It's a perfect match.

Were they separated at birth? Never mind the fact Sanders is six years David's senior (that's probably just a cover story).

This will help Sanders' swelling momentum among young voters.

Still, that wasn't Sanders' most memorable ever TV moment. This was.
