Ordinary Thursdays will be ruined forever after today, when Uber delivers small and adorable furry animals to workplaces in eight Australian cities.

Off the back of the successful kitten campaign last year, the transport app has teamed up with Purina’s Pets At Work mission to bring the nation #UberPUPPIES, an initiative they hope will raise awareness about pet adoption from local shelters as well as the benefits of having dogs in the workplace.

Available in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, the Gold Coast, Melbourne, Perth, the Sunshine Coast and Sydney, would-be puppy cuddlers need to use the Uber app between 12-4pm and select the 'puppies' option. If puppies are available (supplies are limited), you and your work mates will enjoy 15 minutes of puppy love with a snuggle fee of $40 which will be donated to the participating animal shelters.

If you're worried about the puppies welfare, don't. All successful requesters will be subject to a series of screening questions for puppy safety. Make sure your boss and building is cool with the furry visitor and that no one is allergic. A dedicated enclosed puppy playroom is necessary. Check out these Pets At Work tips.

If you fall in (puppy) love, you can adopt on the day.
