Street parties, outrageous humour and art in all forms are what you’ll find this month in Adelaide, as a celebration of creativity, music and food take over the city in the form of multiple festivals.

With Adelaide Fringe, WOMADelaide, Adelaide Festival and Adelaide Writer’s Week all happening, there’s a reason locals call it “Mad March” and tell anyone who’ll listen (and rightly so) there's no better time to visit.

As 5000 artists and 1100 events fill the city for final two weeks of the Fringe, you’d want to be fairly selective with your timetable.

To help you out we’ve compiled a few not-to-be-missed acts under the natural assumption you’ll be stopping by the Garden of Unearthly Delights, Royal Croquet Club, plus all the other pop-ups for refreshments between shows.

Hugh Sheridan and mates Emile and Gabe belt out a fusion of swing, rap and soul in their California Crooners Club cabaret taking part in Gluttony. Order a whiskey and be transported to Sinatra times.

The question is this: Is there anything better than magic? Watch Adelaide Fringe multiple award winner Matt Tarrant throw his most mind-blowing show yet.

In its first ever year, Digital Playground lets you explore interactive stories in virtual reality that transport you to different worlds through a six-sided story on "The Cube" -- a contraption created by Google’s Creative Lab.

Dirty disco fever is what you’ll find at this spectacular show in The Garden. Singer/songwriter Brendan Maclean leads a cast of circus, cabaret and music talent that do everything in their power to channel Studio 54 nightclub. Dancing mandatory.
