Andrew Bogut Celebrates Steph Curry Three Pointer Before Curry Even Shoots

Steph Curry Is So Good Andrew Bogut Celebrates BEFORE He Even Shoots

The latest basketball news is about Steph Curry, because when isn't the basketball news about Steph Curry these days?

The last time this website covered a Steph Curry thing, it was a week or two ago when Curry shot a ridiculously improbable (for most people) three point shot that won the game with less than a second on the clock.

This story is also about a three-point shot Curry nailed. But it's actually more about what happened when he was taking that shot. The scenario: With Curry's Golden State Warriors up 21-12 in the first quarter of their match against Orlando, Australian Andrew Bogut palmed the ball Curry's way.

So confident was Bogut that his sharp-shooting teammate would make the shot, he appeared to head off towards the bench in celebration before the shot had even been taken.

Seriously, that's the inference here. Give Curry the ball, the shot is as good as made. Players have never acted this way around any player, ever. Not even Jordan.

But Curry's numbers justify the confidence. The 27-year-old point guard for reigning NBA champs the Golden State Warriors is rapidly becoming the greatest 3 point shooter of all time. He's drained more than 300 of the suckers this year alone, which is a record. They're even talking about moving the line back.

There's some awesome number-crunching goodness about Curry complete with all sorts of lovely graphs and so forth here, if you're into that sort of thing. And if you're reading this story you probably are.

If, however, you were looking for Leigh Campbell's excellent piece on adopting kittens but clicked this story by mistake, the kitty cats are here.

Before we go, here's an image that really highlights the inevitability of a Steph Curry shot going exactly where he intended it.

This is the crowd when Curry nailed that long-range buzzer-beater the other week. Fifteen people had their hands on their heads in total resignation. As the Tweet said, they knew it. It was an impossible shot, yet they knew it would go in. Just like Andrew Bogut did.
