Two men will face court after allegedly assaulting four women on a hen's night in Sydney's central business district.

The vicious attack on the women took place just after midnight outside Hungry Jacks on George Street.

Police said one of the attackers, aged 44, assaulted 4 women -- aged 31, 25 and 2 aged 29 -- before leaving the area.

A second man, aged 43, assaulted one of the 29-year-old women who broke her collar bone in the attack, police said.

Three of the women had to be taken to hospital following the assault.

A 69-year-old man who came to the assistance of the women was also assaulted, sustaining facial swelling, police said.

Both of the alleged attackers were arrested on Saturday and have been charged with a number of offences, including assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The men were granted conditional bail and will face Downing Centre Local Court on April 6.

One witness to the attack told News Corp Australia the violence was sparked by sexual comments made to the group.

“The women defended themselves and he said ‘if you don’t shut up I’ll punch you in the face,” she said.

“He punched four to five girls in the head, holding them by the neck and punching them.”
