Look away now if you don't want to see what happened in the NRL match between the North Queensland Cowboys

The scoreline was horrific enough for Roosters fans. They lost 40-0 to the defending premiers. It was the third loss in three games for the team which has won the last three NRL minor premierships (which means topping the ladder before the final series).

But worse was to come. In the final moments of the match, Roosters player Ian Henderson suffered what is believed to be a compound fracture of his leg. There was no malice. It was just one of those tackles that went wrong. A bunch of 100+ kilo blokes went one way, Henderson's leg went the other.

We'll show you the image in a moment. First we'll show you something nice. Here's a baby giraffe galloping through a forest. Its legs are fine.

Ian Henderson is of Scottish heritage but grew up on the NSW Central Coast. He started his NRL career at the Roosters way back in 2003 and 2004 -- years in which the Roosters lost the grand final -- but he didn't make much of an impression. So off he went to England where he forged a very respectable career in the Super League.

Now 32, Henderson was hired by the Roosters this season to add a bit of experience to a team which has shed a few established names in the off-season. His year is now likely over.

We're getting closer to the pic you really don't want to see, but before we do, there was a moment after Henderson suffered the injury that made us really admire him. He must have been in agony. But he maintained his composure and calmly raised his hand asked for assistance from the trainer. It was just really, really calm.

Uh, I think I have a slight problem.

Anyway, enough delay. Here's his horribly twisted leg with a surprise bare backside just to really make things lovely. We wish Hendo a speedy recovery.

Bummer.
