It’s the cultural capital of Australia renowned for having four seasons in one day, but unlike it’s dryer, neighbouring states, Melbourne’s wet weather only adds to its appeal.

Think: outdoor heated laneways with the distinct scent of roasted coffee beans, old pubs offering mulled wine alongside an open fire and a local style that proves Australian fashion is so much more than denim shorts and Havaianas.

While its year-round drizzle may deter some travelers, most residents will tell you the rain generally only lasts in short bursts, before the clouds open up to sunshine.

Either way, the below magic captured by various photographers proves rain, hail or shine, the city is something special.
