The internet can be a weird and wonderful place. On one hand, you have trolls, shamers and other shady types who think it's totally OK leak nude photos online (for the record: it's not).

And on the other, you have those who are committed to making the internet a funnier, friendlier place. Such as the team behind what can be argued as the happiest place on the internet, Cool Dogs Group, a series of social media accounts dedicated to the sharing of cool dog pictures only.

OK, OK, so there are already plenty of animal appreciation sites out there. We get it. Except what makes this particular group stand out is their dedication to keeping things online, in line. Its Facebook page (which you have to be invited by a friend to join) has over 200,000 followers who all have to abide by the house rules if they want to stay a part of the group.

House rules include the banning of fundraising campaigns, any kind of contests asking for likes/votes, doling out advice that should only be given by veterinarians, inflammatory or trolling posts/comments, distressing pictures of dogs and basically anything that compromises the general principle of Cool Dogs Group -- which is to provide place for dog lovers to share and view cute dog photos. In short, it's basically dog-tragic heaven, without any of the other nasties the interweb has to offer.

Once a member, you can ask your fellow CDP members to, say, post a bunch of pics of dogs and socks to cheer you up, and hey presto! Dogs in socks appear everywhere. How cool is that?

For those who don't yet have a friend who can invite them to join the page, never fear, you still can get your doggie fix from their Instagram account or Twitter feed.

Here is just a taste of what you can expect.
