Defence Force Cadet Charged With Sexually Assaulting Fellow Cadet

An Australian Defence Force Academy cadet has been arrested.

An Australian Defence Force Academy cadet has been arrested.

An 18 year old Australian Defence Force Academy cadet has been arrested and charged with sexual intercourse without consent.

A statement from the Australian Defence Force said the man was charged with "sexual assault on another Defence member".

The incident reportedly happened in Canberra last Saturday and a statement from Australian Capital Territory Policing said police would allege the man assaulted an 18-year-old woman as she was sleeping.

The man was arrested on Friday and was expected to appear at the Magistrates Court.
