That's one surprise he probably wasn't expecting.

A six-year old boy and his eight-year old brother were given a disturbing surprise when they opened a Kinder Surprise toy container that contained a bag of the class A drug, methamphetamine.

The siblings were playing on the street in the Limavady area of Northern Ireland, north-west of Belfast, when they spotted the recognisable yellow container underneath a hedge, according to the Derry Journal.

Upon opening it, they found a small bag of white powder and then gave it to their father, who then passed it on to police. The substance was later identified as drugs and believed to be methamphetamine.

Inspector Colin Shaw of the Police Service of Northern Island said: "The contents of the bag, which was found inside a toy egg, is believed to be methamphetamine. This incident is of the uppermost concern for all of us.

"Tackling the use and supply of illegal drugs is a priority for us and the possibility that something so potentially dangerous has been discarded where children could find it is deeply concerning," he told The Daily Star.

Local councillor for the Democratic Unionist Party, Alan Robinson, praised the boys for thinking to give the illicit substance to their father.

"By the grace of God the item was passed to the children's father who alerted the police," he said.
