Shopkeeper Adeel Khan has been found guilty of one murder while the jury continues to deliberate over further counts related to burning down of his store in Rozelle, Sydney.

After five days of deliberation, the jury found Khan's September 2014 actions killed Chris Noble, who lived above the store. He was also found guilty of causing grievous bodily harm to two men injured in the fire.

Neighbour Bianka O'Brien and her son Jude were also killed in the fire and the jury was yet to rule a verdict on their deaths.

In May this year, Khan denied any involvement in the fire, telling the court robbers tied him up and threatened to burn the convenience store down.

More to come.
