Australia's Rainbow Tributes To Orlando Shooting Families

The nation was lit up in solidarity.

Australia's landmarks were last night lit in rainbow colours and pink to show solidarity with the LGBTI community after 49 people were killed at a mass shooting in a gay nightclub in Orlando, U.S.

From the Sydney Harbour Bridge to Melbourne Town Hall, Brisbane's Story Bridge and Perth's Council House, brilliant tributes shone into the night, while across the world, families grieved and anxiously awaited news from the more than 50 people injured.

NSW Premier Mike Baird shared an image of the Sydney Harbour Bridge lit rainbow colours with the simple statement "We grieve and stand with you #orlando".
