Just because you're a fitness guru/ superhuman doesn't mean you always want to work out like a demon 24/7.

So says Michelle Bridges, who posted a video and message to her Instagram account.

"Today I hurt. Today my head almost got to me. Today I started doubting myself. Doubting my fitness. Doubting wether [sic] I can pull myself back. Today I realised that my fitness and where it's at, is perfect. And I cannot expect any more of myself. My fitness and strength is exactly where it should be given what I have and haven't been doing. My training has been inconsistent. Period. And that's ok. I'm here. I'm pushing. It might not be pretty, but that's ok too!I wanted to share this to let you know that all of us have these moments. And they are beautiful, because they remind us that it's in the struggle that we grow, we become humble, we build and we must be gentle to ourselves," the caption read.

Though Bridges did still manage to get a sweat session in, so she's beating those of us who opted for a bowl of carbonara while watching Masterchef.

She detailed the workout to include:

  • 30 minutes on the assault bike

Three rounds of:

  • 10 deadlifts
  • 10 front squats
  • 10 push press
  • 25 chin ups

If you've ever spent time on an assault bike you'll know they are aptly named. Thanks for the extra motivation, Michelle, even if it's partly from guilt. 5.30am alarm set for tomorrow. Maybe.
