Who would've thought flipping plastic chairs could be so amusing?

Well two high school students from Christchurch, New Zealand, have made it happen.

Corban Baker and Cosmo Everett Wells' epic chair flip video (above) went viral after posting it on Facebook on Monday night.

Everett-Wells said the duo would sometimes throw around a chair in their music lesson.

"So we started doing it yesterday and we thought, 'oh let's record one of these, this is really cool', and 'what if we did it this way'," Everett-Wells said.

"Everyone was kind of watching us and getting into it, so we thought, 'let's do this yeah, let's make something out of this'."

Each 'trick shot' took the boys at least 20 takes.

"The last one, where I spin two of them, that took maybe 50 goes, it really took a long time," Everett-Wells said.

Baker said there was an immediate reaction after posting the clip.

"I just posted it and went to go see a movie, and as I came back it had, like, 60 or 90 notifications, and I just thought, woah what's going on," Baker said.

"It just blew up from there -- everyone started sharing it."

The boys' original post has reached 1.5 million views and has also been shared by UNILAD, where it has been watched by 24 million people.

Baker and Wells' epic chair flipping rivals the infamous water bottle flip challenge that made the internet go nuts earlier this year.
