Sometimes, there’s just no hiding your feelings.

Isaac Latterell, a Republican in South Dakota’s House of Representatives, did a classic facepalm as his state voted for Donald Trump at the Republican National Convention on Tuesday.

As the delegation started the announcement, Latterell could be seen rolling his eyes and shaking his head. And when they announced the name “Donald J. Trump,” he planted his face right into his palm:

Latterell, a Ted Cruz supporter who has compared Planned Parenthood to ISIS, said it was his way of protesting the selection.

“I just think that it’s a sad day for the Republican party,” Latterell told the Argus Leader. “I don’t think that the candidate that was chosen has a chance of winning the election or being different than the other nominee.”

Editor’s note: Donald Trump regularly incites political violence and is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, misogynist and birther who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims — 1.6 billion members of an entire religion — from entering the U.S.
