Security camera footage capturing a Syrian refugee’s random act of kindness in Dallas has gone viral, with some 10 million views in just over a week.

The heartwarming video shows a visibly distraught woman and two young children inside a jewelry store, attempting to sell a gold ring. When asked by the shop employee why she wanted to sell it, the woman explained: “I’m totally broke, and I won’t get paid until next month,” according to English transcriptions in the video.

“Is the only reason you’re selling it because you’re broke?” the jeweler asked, while examining the trinket.

“Actually, it’s a gift from my mom,” the woman told him. “But I have a problem and I had to get it done.”

The man swiftly reached into his pocket and pulled out a wad of cash.

“Here you go,” he said, handing the woman his money. “And this is your ring,” he added, returning the astonished mother’s cherished piece of jewelry.

With tears in her eyes, she hugged the jeweler tightly and thanked him for his kindness.

“Write down my number, if you need anything,” the jeweler said, adding: “Don’t go anywhere else, I will buy it if you want to sell it again.”

Identified only as “Noah” in an interview with CBS, the jeweler revealed that he is a refugee from war-torn Syria. He and his family currently live in Texas, where Gov. Greg Abbott unsuccessfully campaigned to keep Syrian refugees out of the state.

“It doesn’t matter what religion you are, it doesn’t matter where you’re from,” Noah told CBS. “This is our humanity, everybody should do that.”
