Triple J's Matt Okine Has Just Released A Rap Track, For Real

His rap name? 'Boilermakers.'

Matt Okine is many things: comedian, one half of triple j's brekkie show, feminist... and now he can add rapper to that colourful résumé.

Yep, the triple j presenter officially debuted his hip hop track, Fade (Nothing At All)on Wednesday night and before you think it's just another prank by him and co-host Alex Dyson for their morning brekkie show, take a listen below.

Pretty good, right?

Of course, we got a preview of Okine's skills earlier this year when he took on Yeezy's Heard 'Em Saybringing to light a myriad of political issues and showcasing his songwriting (and rapping) talents.

If only we knew then what we knew now.

In fact, The Huffington Post Australia got in touch with Okine following his Yeezy masterpiece and posed the question of whether we could expect anymore raps in future. This is what he had to say:

"I'll let Kanye be Kanye for now. I don't think I'll be rapping about bleached buttholes any time soon," Okine said.

Instead, he's gone for a smooth, chilled out track, produced by Allday's early producer C1 Beats and if the rumours are true, it's apparently part of a larger EP he's putting together.
