NSW Premier Mike Baird Injured In Fall. Now He's Got A Baird Back.

CANBERRA – NSW Premier Mike Baird has broken his back in a late night fall at home and, as he expects to recover well, is awaiting all your gags.

Baird took to Facebook to post an X-ray and explain he slipped over in the dark while fetching a glass of water.

"Note to self: When fetching a glass of water late at night, don't walk down the stairs in your socks with the lights out," he revealed.

The Premier is well aware of what happens next.

"Yeah, I know... The punchlines for this pretty much write themselves... Knock yourselves out (I almost did!)," he wrote.
