Now that the weather is getting warmer and spring is in sight (*collective sigh of relief*), we're beginning to get excited about all the good stuff -- mangoes, spending weekends at the beach, swimming in the ocean without becoming a human icicle, and cold drinks.

Yes, that's right. We're quite sick of you, tea. It's time for us to dust off the bullet blenders and start the smoothie party again.

To make life easier, there are these things called freezer smoothie packs -- a simple yet genius way to prepare smoothies for the following day, week or month.

All you need is some ziploc bags, smoothie ingredients of your choice, a freezer and, you know, a blender.

Basically, the idea of freezer smoothie packs is to have all your dry ingredients chopped, frozen and ready to go for when you need them.

Then all you need to do is add the frozen ziploc contents to the blender, along with one cup of liquid (for example, coconut water, tap water, juice or milk), to create a quick, fuss-free smoothie.

Here's what you'll need to make five different delicious smoothies (you can then mix-and-match or make as many packs as you please).

METHOD

1. Slice banana into coins and add to a ziploc bag, along with the fresh or frozen berries, chia seeds and almonds.

2. To make smoothie, add liquid (plain water, milk or coconut water would be best here) to the blender, followed by the frozen ziploc bag contents. Blend until smooth and creamy. Enjoy.
