Bridesmaids actress Rose Byrne will sprinkle her comedy magic on Stan's 'No Activity' when she joins the cast for season two, alongside Damon Herriman as they take on the role of a wealthy Sydney couple who are kidnapped.

It's been a huge year for Bryne who recently played Susan Sarandon's on-screen daughter in 'The Meddler' and is set to add animation star to her burgeoning list of credits, after it was announced this month she'd star opposite James Corden in a remake of Beatrix Potter's 'Peter Rabbit'.

Due to premiere October 26, the Stan Original series 'No Activity' promises more romance, action and plenty of political incorrectness in the form of its signature golden ocker one-liners.

Much-loved cast members Jimmy (Dan Wyllie) and Carol (Genevieve Morris) return, with Carol getting a new partner when April (Harriet Dyer) gets promoted from Dispatch.

Stan is also ramping up its Original Series offerings announcing on Wednesday that four new TV shows are in development featuring plenty of local talent.

From 'Merchants of Misery' -- a satirical drama set in the world of celebrity agents and gossip magazines to a comedy from triple j's Matt Okine called 'The Other Guy' based on his stand-up comedy show.

"It tells the story of my own experience when I found out my girlfriend of nine years was having an affair with my best mate," Okine said at the Stan press conference.

But it gets worse -- he discovers she might be pregnant.

"'It documents the excruciating three to 15 minute wait you endure when doing a pregnancy test and all that goes through your head during that time -- when it might not even be yours -- over several episodes," Okine said.

Also coming is 'Chaperones' which tells the story of three "deadbeat nobodies" who are entrusted with the day-to-day care of a child star and 'All Thumbs' where the lives of three social outcasts intersect and find love.

International series to get excited about include Transparent, returning September 24 and to follow next year, Jim Carrey's creation 'I'm Dying Here' which follows the lives of wannabe stand-up comedians in Los Angeles during the 70s.
