A man has died after two light planes collided while on the tarmac at Parafield Airport, north of Adelaide.
Police were called to the accident just after 4pm on Sunday afternoon, a spokesperson from the South Australia Police department told the Huffington Post Australia.
"It seems to be what happened is one plane has taxied away and crashed into a plane nearby," the spokesperson said.
Police later confirmed that a 62-year-old man from Wattle Park has died at the scene.
The police also said that both planes were unoccupied at the time of the collision.
The collision happened in front of families from the Adelaide Warbirds flying enthusiasts club, who were on the other side of the tarmac, Channel 9 reports.
According to The Advertiser, the aircrafts involved were a single-engine Piper and a single-engine Cessna.
Planes continue to arrive and depart from the airport as emergency services investigated the crash.
The Air Transport Safety Bureau will visit the airport tomorrow to begin an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
