Two Nurses Got Engaged And The Pics Will Make Your Heart Beat Faster

Couple Chelsea Tanner and Richard Harkleroad, both critical care nurses, just did the sweetest engagement shoot inspired by their shared profession.

The Tennessee couple, who work for separate hospitals, took their photos at the Knoxville Botanical Gardens on September 11. They added a personal touch to some of their shots by incorporating their stethoscopes.

“We are both very passionate about what we do,” Tanner told The Huffington Post. “It is especially important to us as we were in nursing school at the same time and were able to help support each other and grow together as a couple and future nurses.”

The pair embarked on the difficult journey to becoming nurses together.

The pair met through mutual friends in 2010 and as the bride-to-be puts it, “immediately clicked together.”

With the long hours and crazy schedules, dating a nurse can be difficult at times. But Tanner told HuffPost being in the same field as her fiancé has created a deeper level of understanding between them.

“The best part is being able to come home and have the other person understand exactly how you feel ― from the joys of saving a life, the sadness of losing one, to the stress we face day to day.”
