Police are hunting for those responsible for a stabbing attack on a teenage boy near Luna Park in Sydney on Friday night.
The shocking incident took place at Luna Park Reserve on Olympic Drive at Milsons Point about 8pm last night, police said in a statement.
The 16-year-old victim was with a group of friends on their way to the iconic fun park when the attack occurred after a clash with another group, Channel 9 reports.
It reports that in the wake of the attack the victim was helped by security from Luna Park, who called paramedics and police.
On arriving, police and paramedics found the boy with wounds to his chest and back.
After receiving treatment at the scene, he was taken to hospital where he's in a stable condition. Police said his injuries are not life threatening.
A crime scene was established at the location and no arrests have yet been made.
