Billy Slater And His Son Are The Ultimate Training Buddies

A mini Storm player in the making?

Melbourne Storm fullback Billy Slater has been working with a very special training partner.

The 33-year-old rugby league star has posted a cute video of his son Jake training alongside him. The pint-sized footballer copies all of dad's moves with energy and precision. Take a look:

Thanks to my little training partner for helping me this year and always being my side kick. #Jakeyboy

Slater was ruled out of the 2016 season because of a shoulder injury. It followed a disappointing 2015 when he missed the second half of the NRL season through injury.

Slater has been building up his rehabilitation since his second shoulder reconstruction back in March. While he's striving to get back to the game he loves, Slater is a family man at heart.

"My family are my world," Slater writes on his website.

"I am very grateful every day that I have a supportive wife, great kids and a good network who help to keep my world in check."
