On Monday, Rose McGowan posted an open letter on Twitter urging the men and women in the entertainment industry to “be brave” and “take a stand” against working with “offenders.”

In the note, the actress also told her fellow entertainers to “stop rewarding sociopaths.”

“Every time you sanction abhorrent behavior, you are aiding and abetting a crime, that makes you no better than the criminal,” she wrote. “How many stories do you have to hear before you do the right thing and stop rewarding men that are predators?”

McGowan’s note comes about a week after she claimed via Twitter that she had been raped by a studio head and then shunned by Hollywood. Using the hashtag #WhyWomenDontReport, the actress also aimed to bring attention to the alarmingly low rates of rape reportage.

“It’s been an open secret in Hollywood/Media & they shamed me while adulating my rapist,” she wrote. “It is time for some goddamned honesty in this world.”
