Crash Bandicoot Has A Really Bad Australian Accent In New Netflix Series

Step away from the dialogue, Crash.
Netflix / Skylanders Academy

Crash Bandicoot himself has ruined our collective childhoods by pretending to be something he's not -- an Australian.

While bandicoots are native to Australia and Papua New Guinea, we're not sure we can forgive the bloody awful accent.

The accent in question makes its debut in the eleventh episode of Netflix's new Skylanders Academy show, which is titled "Crash Landing".

The dialogue from the episode has been compiled by YouTube user ARD and we have some questions, mate. Why is Crash talking all of a sudden, for starters.

Also, he's an animal, and animals can't actually talk so why are we even judging his accent?

It's because it sucks, that's why. It's the opposite of authentic.

And it's not like there's a shortage of Australians trying to 'make it big' in the acting world. Here's a crazy idea, why not hire an Australian voice actor for this role? Or, better yet, leave the talking to Cortex and Aku Aku.

We liked it better when all we heard was 'whoa' and the swishy sounds of your spin, Crash. Let's hope Sony's remastered Crash games have less acting and more action.
