Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie might have a “Kramer vs. Kramer” situation on their hands.

Pitt is reportedly seeking joint physical custody of the couple’s six children, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne, in his response on Friday to Jolie’s initial divorce filing, according to NBC News.

The couple’s children have been the primary focus of the divorce negotiations after an alleged midair altercation on a plane between Pitt and his eldest son, Maddox. His response comes nearly two months after Jolie’s petition to divorce, in which she sought sole physical custody of the kids. Both cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for filing.

Although Pitt denied any abusive behavior toward his children, the airplane incident is currently under investigation by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services. The investigation was recently expanded to focus on multiple alleged incidents with the actor’s kids.

In September, Pitt and Jolie reached a temporary agreement that granted Jolie’s request while permitting Pitt to see his children in supervised visits, if he agreed to drug and alcohol testing.

Jolie and the children were also reportedly interviewed by the FBI last month about Pitt’s behavior. Two FBI agents apparently spent around three hours speaking the family to discern whether there was enough evidence for the child abuse claims to warrant an investigation.

Meanwhile, Pitt has reportedly only seen Maddox once and the rest of his children twice since the couple’s separation. He is fully cooperating with authorities and taking the investigation very seriously in order to settle the dispute for the sake of his children, Us Weekly reported, citing an unnamed source close to the actor.

The Huffington Post has reached out to both Jolie’s and Pitt’s representatives and will update this post accordingly.
