Former KKK Grand Wizard David Duke celebrated Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s election night strength in a tweet early Wednesday.

“It’s time to do the right thing, it’s time to TAKE AMERICA BACK!!!” Duke tweeted as Trump held a narrow lead over Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

Duke has made his support for Trump known in the months leading up to the election, calling a vote against the Republican “treason to your heritage.”

In February, Trump hesitated to disavow Duke’s endorsement, causing backlash. Trump’s son, Eric, had less of a struggle addressing Duke, saying earlier this month that Duke “deserves a bullet.”

Duke had his own election on Tuesday, losing the race for a Louisiana seat in the Senate to Republican John Kennedy and Democrat Foster Campbell, who will now enter a runoff election.
