Gigi Hadid Breaks Out Brutal Melania Trump Impression At The AMAs

The model and her co-host, Jay Pharoah, joked about The Donald, too.

Gigi Hadid and Jay Pharoah are making the American Music Awards great again. Or at least they’re trying to.

With such different careers, it didn’t seem to make much sense why the two were chosen to host the award show together ... until the monologue.

The pair started the show off with sly Donald Trump disses, saying the AMAs doesn’t deal with the Electoral College before announcing that we’re living in the ‘90s since Green Day is performing and a white guy is the president-elect.

Then, they broke out the heavy guns: Trump impressions.

Hadid started by mocking Melania Trump for infamously plagiarizing Michelle Obama:

”I love my husband, President Barack Obama, and our children, Sasha and Malia,” Hadid said while distorting her face.

Soon after, it was The Donald’s turn. After Bruno Mars opened the AMAs, Pharoah did an impression of what Trump might say about his performance, explaining, “I love Bruno Mars. I don’t know what color he is, so I can’t deport him,” and, “I’m going to funk this country up bigly.”

The impressions weren’t necessarily Alec Baldwin-level, but for such a weird combo, the pair didn’t funk it up bigly.
