President-elect Donald Trump has awoken from his three-week hiatus of (debatably) diplomatic tweets since the election and attacked the media for bias reporting again.

It all began on Sunday when Trump tweeted he won the popular vote if you deduct "the millions of people who voted illegally", quoting a claim which appears on conspiracy site InfoWars.com which suggests three million undocumented immigrants voted illegally.

Election officials have denied any issue of illegal voting from non-citizens, which the U.S media have reported, but the President-elect doesn't appear to be pleased with the fact-checking from media outlets.

Cue the unleashing of outrage (particularly against CNN):

The latest wave of 140-character onslaughts comes after Trump spoke about rebuilding his relationship with the media, starting with an interview with The New York Times.

Last week, Trump said "I just appreciate the meeting and I have great respect for The New York Times. Tremendous respect."

"It's very special. Always has been very special. I think I've been treated very rough. It's well out there that I've been treated extremely unfairly in a sense, in a true sense."

It seems CNN has hit another sore spot despite Trump disputing details of an election he won.
