Sydney, it's summer and the sun is (*sometimes) shining. It's time to go for a wander.

Lucky for us, our coastline is up there with the best. And whilst we can't even begin to forecast what joys the weather will bring, we can promise spellbinding vistas, meandering paths and a decent dose of cardio.

From easy trails to something a little more hardcore, The Huffington Post Australia has you covered with our picks of the best coastal walks across Sydney that you can tick off in a day.

The Resolute Loop Trail

A resolve you'll keep.

If you're in to uncovering secluded beaches, this one is a good place to start. Nestled into the vast surrounds of the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park and with views across Pittwater and the Barrenjoey Headland, Resolute Beach has certainly become a hot spot.

To get there, take the Resolute Loop Trail that lies at the far end of West Head. Park your car at the Resolute Picnic Ground and wind your way down through bushland before hitting that soft, secluded sand for a dip.

For the enthusiastic walkers, the trail continues to West Head lookout with a perfectly-placed picnic spot to cap off your day.

How far? Approximately 2.5km (to Resolute Beach) and 6km (to West Head)

How long? 1-1.5 hours (to Resolute Beach) and 4 hours (to West Head)

How hard? Easy to moderate

Bondi to Coogee Walk

Ah, the serenity.

It is quintessential and we couldn't help but to include it.

This six kilometre trail joining two of Australia's most-loved beaches is the perfect start to your morning (if you're lucky to live close by) or an ideal weekend walk.

Take a gentle stroll, bypassing Bronte and Tamarama, and reward yourself with a hard-earned Bondi brekky afterwards (you'll need it).

How far? 6 kilometres

How long? 2-3 hours

How hard? A walk in the park

South Head Heritage Trail

The trail starts at Camp Cove in Watsons Bay, winding around age-old cobblestones and past nudist beach, Lady Bay Beach (for those who are so inclined). You'll reach the historic Hornby Lighthouse -- a perfect whale watching spot (in season, of course). So, keep your eyes peeled.

The Coast Track: Royal National Park

Get a taste of those rugged cliffs.

Get a taste of those rugged cliffs.

This one combines the best of both worlds: inland shrubbery and a stunning coast to boot.

Stretching for 30 kilometres along the foreshore of the Royal National Park in Sydney's south, you'll breathe in that sweet, sweet sea breeze whilst feeling far enough removed from the CBD.

Take on the whole walk as a two-day 'thru-hike' or break it down into smaller sections and wander at your very own leisure. For an optimal day trip, start at Wattamolla Beach and follow the track until you reach Big Marley Beach.

Along the way, you'll come across the highly instagrammable 'Wedding Cake Rock' -- but be cautious and stay behind the railing (that rock is fragile).
