We're So Glad These Companies Decided To Change Their Names

'Google' Was First called 'Backrub' 😐

Pepsi was first called Brad's Drink.

Some household brands are so ingrained in our everyday lives that we don't even think about their names, or why they may be called that.

Think of the appliance brand LG. Did you think it was an acronym for 'Life's Good' (if you thought about it at all)? If you did you'd be wrong. The brand was first called Lucky Goldstar, until it was changed to the letters LG in 1995.

And then there's Google. Imagine saying to someone "why don't you BackRub it?" Doesn't quite have the same ring, but that was the original name of the internet search engine, before it was changed in 1998.
