A woman will face court charged with murder after allegedly fatally stabbing a man in Victoria on Christmas Eve.

Victoria police homicide squad detectives charged the woman, 33, following the death of the man in Kangaroo Flat, a suburb of Bendigo.

Police said they attended a Pauline Court address where a man was located with stab wounds about 6pm Saturday night.

The victim was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.

The accused woman was charged with murder and will front Bendigo Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, police said in a statement.
