This Year's Lamb Ad Is Out, And It Doesn't Disappoint

"Australia's most multicultural meat."

In what might be one of the most Australian things ever, the annual TV ad for eating lamb, We Love Our Lamb, has gathered somewhat of a cult following.

Always just in time for Australia Day, Lamb Australia claims that Australian's love for lamb is universal and the new campaign highlights this, featuring a cast of Australians from all walks of life coming together over a lamb barbecue.

This year, it plays with the theme of Indigenous Australians greeting the members of First (and second and third) Fleet for a beach barbie.

In the clip you'll spy Sam Kekovich, Olympian Cathy Freeman and former rugby player Wendell Sailor. You'll also see Australia's culinary star, Poh Ling Yeo, Australian cricket player Adam Gilchrist and LGBTQ comedian Rhys Nicholson alongside a list of Australian extras -- proving lamb is the most multicultural meat, so says Australian Lamb.

"As a brand, Lamb stands for unity. Australia is the greatest country on earth and lamb is the nation's favourite meat. Hence we have brought those two things together to prove we should be able to celebrate this great country every day of the year," Andrew Howie, Group Marketing Manager at MLA said in a brand statement.
