Two men will face court after streaking at the Big Bash match between the Sydney Sixers and Sydney Thunder on Saturday night.

Play had to be halted for several minutes during the Sydney derby after the two larrikins stripped off then entered the field of play in front of the thousands in attendance at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

Some commentators noted that one of the streakers managed to make it 'coast to coast' -- an impressive feat given the heavy security presence at the ground -- running all the way across the SCG before being taken down.

Macquarie Radio reports on Sunday that the streakers will face court after being charged over the NSFW effort.

Police confirmed the charges, saying a 27-year-old man from Wamberal and a 23-year-old man from Pitt Town were issued with court attendance notices for entering the field unauthorised.

The pair will face Waverley Local Court in March.

The 'double streak' was a highlight in an otherwise lacklustre contest between the Sixers and Thunder, which was won convincingly by the Thunder with 10 overs to spare.

The nudie action was captured by fans at the game, check it out.
