Pauline Hanson Got Invited To Trump's Inauguration Because Of Course She Did

But she won't be attending.

Donald Trump is having a hard time getting people to come to his inauguration as U.S. President on January 20, with countless bands, singers and celebrities turning down his invitation. But one person thrilled to make it on the invite list is One Nation leader Pauline Hanson, who could hardly contain her glee.

But Hanson has reluctantly declined, stating that she has important work to do at home that trumps attending the big day in the States.

The Huffington Post Australia has confirmed Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull will not be attending the Washington D.C. ceremony, and opposition leader Bill Shorten said on Monday that he didn't get a ticket. But while the likes of Charlotte Church, 2 Chainz, Moby, Elton John and Broadway singer Jennifer Holliday have publicly stated they won't be going to Trump's party, Hanson is stoked.

It shouldn't come as any surprise, seeing as her party has spent most of its time in parliament praising The Donald. There's been the memes on social media, Malcolm Roberts hanging out in the Trump hotel and borrowing Trump's "drain the swamp" slogan, hiring a former Trump adviser for their team, and of course the now famous video of One Nation toasting the election victory with champagne outside Parliament House.

Fellow One Nation senator Malcolm Roberts said he was planning to head to the States for the ceremony, but due to medical issues he won't be able to. Instead, another member in NSW senator Brian Burston will head over too.

Aussie actress Ruby Rose didn't miss an opportunity to fire a zinger or three of her own, too.
