The hunt is on for a sneaky thief, who stole luggage from a carousel at Melbourne's Tullamarine Airport and followed up with a home robbery.

Police are asking for public assistance in solving the crime after a woman stole several suitcases from Terminal 4 carousel about 3pm on November 20 last year.

It's believed the woman then turned up at the bag owners' home address in Alma Avenue, Altona Meadows, breaking into their home and robbing them once again.

A selection of electrical goods, cash and jewellery were stolen during the burglary.

Police recently released a CCTV photo of a woman they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
