Cate Blanchett Gets Emotional While Roasting Donald Trump

Cate Blanchett Pokes Fun At Trump In Jimmy Fallon Interview

Cate Blanchett played Galadriel in "The Lord of the Rings" movies, so she knows how dangerous power can be in the wrong hands. Apparently, she thinks the wrong hands are a reportedly tiny pair.

The actress almost immediately took shots at the newly inaugurated President Donald Trump during her "Tonight Show" appearance on Monday. Blanchett started things by turning her gum into a "phallus" shape, saying it was an appropriate symbol for the country right now.

"With tiny little balls," she added.

The actress then continued the theme while doing an "Emotional Interview" with Jimmy Fallon.

In the segment, guests are supposed to change their demeanor to whatever random emotion or theme pops up, but Blanchett's emotions kept coming back to Trump.

For "Bad Advice," the actress encouraged giving all of one's money to Trump, and she continued talking about it while "Trying Out New Laughs."

"Give it to Trump," Blanchett said, laughing. "How many times has he been bankrupt?"

Fallon, who was criticized last year for how he handled Donald Trump as a guest on the show, seemed to skirt the topic, but Blanchett wasn't deterred.

For "Uses Too Many Metaphors," Blanchett said midlife crises are absurd and ridiculous.

"Almost as absurd and ridiculous as kind of a man who has filed for corporate bankruptcy four times who's running the largest economy in the world," added Blanchett.

And that's how you get the one "Emotional Interview" to rule them all.
