Never has there been a better pairing than Bunnings Warehouse and a sausage sizzle. An Aussie expat has gone to see if the snags lived up to their reputation at the hardware store's first UK branch.
Sam Ashleigh took it upon herself to head out to the Hertfordshire store, about an hour north of London to see how they'd done. She filmed the experience for the world to see.
"I'm on a mouth watering journey to have my first Bunnings' snag in the UK. They opened the store about three days ago. It's an hour out of London so we're driving on down to get me a snag," Ashleigh explains in the video.
Not wanting to be disappointed she calls ahead to confirm two important questions. 1. Do they have a sausage sizzle today? 2. Do they have onions? This isn't Australia after all.
The legend at Bunnings' delivers the perfect answers. She explains that yes, she can smell the lovely smell of sausages in the store. And yes they ALWAYS have onion.
When Ashleigh arrives, she immediately gets involved. She explains that the bread's fresh, the sausage is juicy with a great texture and smoky BBQ flavour. Her verdict is in.
"I think it's worthy of the Bunnings' name," she said.
